Room rates are $104 plus tax for a single/double room, or $124 plus tax for a king suite. Reservations must be made on or before February 28, 2019, to receive our rate.

Children’s Garden Tour” This will be an ongoing tour. Only 25 people can get on the shuttle at one time. The shuttle will take you to and from the garden. Continuous tours. If weather prohibits going to the garden. A slide show will be shown instead. You will be given a ticket with the time and group you are in. You will be walking throughout the garden.

CHILDREN’S GARDEN TOUR
The Gateway Garden Club will be providing a walking tour of their award winning Children’s Garden. Terri Michael and Judy Heck along with other Gateway Garden Club members will be hosting this walking guided tour. These ladies will explain the various niches and their purpose in teaching visiting children.
You will be transported from the Holiday Inn Hotel to the garden via a heated trolley if weather permits. If the weather is not suitable to be outdoors a slide show will be shown at the Holiday Inn. There will be no charge for this tour.

ANTIETAM BATTLEFIELD
An excursion for the men that attend the 2019 West Virginia Garden Club Convention on Friday morning. The men will be touring, by van, to the Antietam Battlefield. There will be a short orientation film presented before the tour at the visitor’s center. This tour will provide lots of informative information about the Battlefield. There will be several important sights that you will visit. After the tour a delicious lunch will be served at the famous Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The cost for the tour and lunch will be $25 per person. There is a limit of 15 men on this tour.

GARDENING FOR BIRDS
This workshop will be on designing and creating a garden for attracting birds. You will told about the parts of a good bird friendly garden and discuss best plants, water, feeders and preparing for predators. The highlight of this workshop will be the gardening for hummingbirds and interaction with lawns and meadows.

FLOWER DESIGNER
Our designer is well known for the beautiful award winning designs that he creates. He continues to keep up-to-date with all new designs around the world. He does flowers for weddings, parties, businesses, and many other occasions. Anthony is well known to all of the garden clubs in Berkeley and Jefferson. He has been very generous for our meetings in donating his designs to be raffled off for our clubs and District meetings to help and support us.

FALL AND WINTER CONTAINER GARDENING
A demonstration of a container for a creative holiday (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas). You will be shown items that you never imagined transformed into one-of-a-kind containers that will set a holiday mood. Learn how fall and winter containers can also provide make ahead holiday decoration for inside and outdoor containers that can capture natural elements or inspire holiday elegance.
