Educational Opportunities: Conservation Camps

WV STATE CONSERVATION CAMP 2018

Do you know a boy or girl aged 14-18 (by January 1) who would enjoy spending a week at camp learning about: forest products, park and forest recreation ,wildlife management, water resources, law enforcement, nature study, soil and water conservation ,non renewable resources,youth conservation? Then sponsor him/her to Conservation Camp.

 “FULL” or “PARTIAL” Scholarships Appreciated

Whether or not you know a youth who would like to attend…you can still provide scholarship money.

COST:      $200.00 Per Person

WHO: Camp is open to all boys and girls aged 14 – 18 years old(as of January 2018)

WHEN: June 11 – 16, 2018 WHERE: Camp Caesar (near Cowen, WV)

 

 Please send scholarship money no later than May 1, 2018

Junior Conservation Camp 2018

June 18-22, 2018 at Cedar Lakes Conference Center

Cost: $175 per camper

The DEP Junior Conservation Camp is open to anyone between the ages of 11 and 14. The camp offers a wide variety of classes that will enhance the participant’s knowledge of the environment and enable them to become good stewards of our natural resources. Classes include forestry, wildlife, archery, water study, recycling, hunter education, fishing, and many others. Sports activities include basketball, kickball, volleyball, and more.
