Birds and Wildflowers
Audubon Center for Birds of Prey
Bald Eagle Stamp Program
This is a fund-raising project to help offset the cost of caring for injured & non-releasable raptors of the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. Collectable stamps are sorted, appraised & sold to collectors by volunteers: 100% of the proceeds go to the birds.
Collectable stamps include:
Any stamp collections
Foreign, commemorative, airmail or special handling stamps
Any state or federal hunting and fishing license stamps
mint plate blocks (especially older ones)
PLEASE, no currect single letter rate stamps ($.34/.35/.37/.39/.42/.44/.46) – this includes Christmas Stamps.
We accept both cancelled & uncancelled stamps. We can sell only undamaged stamps. We cannot use stamps that are cut, torn, scuffed, thinned, with part of the sides cut off, or with heavily smeared cancels. No metered stamps, please.
To save on postage, cut the stamps from the envelops 1/4″ around the stamp to avoid damage. Do not include postmarks. Exceptions: with commemorative envelopes, First Day issues and old (pre 1960) envelopes, send the entire envelope with stamp on.
Please mail stamps to: Sue Derbyshire, 120 Mountainaire Dr., Elkins, WV 26241
