Celebrate National Garden Week     June 7 – 13, 2026

Growing Gratitude | 250 Years of Community Care

Join West Virginia Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden Clubs across the nation as we celebrate National Garden Week and commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding. During this special week, we proudly recognize the civic partners who help our communities flourish.

Gardening has shaped the American story from the agricultural traditions of Indigenous peoples to colonial kitchen gardens that sustained early families and settlements. Public parks, botanical gardens, and Victory Gardens have reflected our nation’s resilience and shared purpose. Today, that legacy continues through partnerships with schools, municipalities, nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers who beautify public spaces and promote conservation.

As we honor 250 years of American heritage, we celebrate the past while looking to the future, recognizing the civic partnerships that cultivate community pride, stewardship, and a shared commitment to caring for the places we call home.
