Pat Mays

I grew up in Harrison County, the aunt of Susie Brookover Hart.  We are close to the same age so had lots of adventures growing up.  I graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College (now University) with a BS degree in nursing in 1965.  I have worked in various fields of nursing for 54 years.  I still work part-time, Women's Health NP, sub in Pleasants County schools as a nurse and work with the Lighthouse program for Senior Center.  I've retired 3 times but it just doesn't take!  My first membership in a garden club was in Fairmont X 7 years, then moved to Pa. for a year, then back to WV.  I've been with Port-Mar club for about 45 years.  It was a welcome to a strange town for Donna Davis and I.  I never thought about being a state officer, but June Ashworth needed me as treasurer so here I am. And district director is a better job!
